    Good morning,

Having trouble with Word fence, I tried to contact support, but they’ve got chat unavailable, I thought I was paying for premium support…

Getting this error message when installing manually the plugin:

“wordfence” has been deactivated, “security” related plugins may break your site or cause performance issues for your site and are not supported on WordPress.com.

Let me get this clear, I had this plugin installed, then I had problems with the 2FA, since the 2FA of the Plugin stepped on the 2FA of WordPress and I had to rollback everything.

Now I can’t install the plugin due this message and I can’t even see it listed on the available plugins, neither.

    Any way to solve this?

Wordfence isn’t needed here. In fact as the message says it would probably upset things anyway when WordPress.com already has its own built-in security.

As clearly stated at https://wordpress.com/support/plugins/incompatible-plugins/#security-plugins, Wordfence is amongst the unsupported plugins.

You can’t but you don’t need to install Wordfence as the wordpress.com platform has its own security measurements.

Thanks! Installed it somehow in the past but could be update killed the possibility because it could give errors, I guess, I’ll just drop it to the bin and stick with WordPress.com built in security options. Good to know all these information.
