Paying for Custom CSS
-
hi, has anyone reading this paid for customizing their CSS blog – and if yes, a question. the price they quote is ‘yearly’. Does this mean it allows you to tweak and play with your CSS customizations forever, if you pay for it each year, or does this mean that if you dont pay for it in the second year it will revert back to the standard CSS?
i have neo-sapian. if i change it around in the first year and dont purchase it the year after, will my own customizations remain (without me being able to change it from there) or will it revert back to the standard Neo-Sapian coding?
thanks in advance for any help

You pay $15 each and every year. You can play as much as yyou want during the year. If you do not renew then the CSS editing disappears and the blog reverts to the theme.
-
Some other things to know are that there is no staff support for CSS editing. The upgrade is recommended ONLY to those who are experienced with CSS editing. A couple of volunteers may help from time to time, but you are basically doing the work yourself.

time thief, thanks much for the response and info. I’m a beginner with CSS but know a little. Enough to tweak the colors which is all i want at this point.

I think it stinks we can’t change our html or css to make it look like what we want. One of your themes I like but there are just a couple things I don’t like. And I sure don’t want to pay for it.

You obviously do not know the difference between our multi-user blogging platform and Blogger which is a closed system. If you did then you would not come off sounding leike something is being denied to you for no reason at all. Here’s the reason – listen up. Here at wordpress.COM we all share the same skeletal template structure that underlies our themes. If we could edit our templates then every edit we made would appear on all blogs with the same theme. -
Hmmm … perhaps you already knew that and were only complaining about having to pay 4 cents per day for CSS editing your stylesheet. Either way I wish you well with your Blogger blog. Happy holidays!
