Paying for custom URL – why are there ads?

  There are ads on my blog. I am paying a fee to WordPress to have a custom URL. If I am paying for this – why are there still ads on my blog? It seems ridiculous to have to pay for the No Ad upgrade while I’m already paying for something else.

  Thanks for your feedback on this. Right now, the No-Ads upgrade and the custom domain upgrades are separate.

  If you want to completely remove ads from your site, you do need the No-Ads upgrade:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/no-ads/

  Another alternative would be to self-host your site, which would put you in control of whether or not any ads appeared on your blog:

  WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org
