Paying for wordpress

  I keep seeing somewhere that I can pay for wordpress. Does that mean I will no longer be http://www.ladyfairybread.wordpress.com I’d be http://www.ladyfairybread.com or can I no longer do that as my blog is active and has been for some time?

  Do I still get to use the WordPress forums?

  Domain mapping just gets you a shorter URL to reach your existing site – you old blog remains as it always was you just have a new address to reach it – all the old addresses will still work – you are still hosted on WordPress.COM – the terms of service remain the same and you still get help here in the WordPress.COM forum (where this question is)

  Here at WordPress.com, you can certainly pay for WordPress. There are a number of upgrades that cost money:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/upgrades/
  They include Domain Mapping and Domain Registration, to which you refer above.
