Paying for WordPress.com Hosting Account

Can’t pay for an upgrade. WordPress wants back up a credit card. Paypal is connected to my bank account.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi @virginiakwest, it would need a backup card in PayPal to enable automatic renewals, which are important if you want to keep your site up and running without renewing it manually.
If you’d like, though, we may be able to send an invoice your way for the hosting plan of your choice. Just let us know which one you’d like. And then do plan on renewing manually when it’s time.

Supernovia….I already chose the Premium Plan to upgrade to. Information within WordPress.com claims we can sign up or upgrade if we have PayPal connected to our bank accounts and my PayPal Account is.

We’ll only need a backup card for auto-renew, just make sure that you don’t turn on auto-renew when you purchase the plan.

Thank You macmanx for responding as you have. I can’t get past the page that requires the credit card info. I have tried many times. I cannot even purchase the plan….Premium. I am entering PayPal directly through WordPress and end up on the same page every time. I purchased Grammarly and had none of these issues.

Hi there,
Can you please tell me exactly what happens after you click the Pay via PayPal button, including the exact text of the error you see and the step in which you see it?
If you can take a screen shot of the page showing the error, including the URL in your browser address bar, that might also help. You can upload any screen shots at My Site ->Site ->Media and we’ll be able to see them there.
