  If I connect my existing domain to wordpress, do I still have to pay my existing provider (Go Daddy) the annual domain fee?

  Also is it easy to still make alterations on the website?

  Hello! Yes that’s correct. You continue to renew the connected domain with GoDaddy.

  Assuming the domain is eligible for a transfer, you can transfer it to WordPress.com right away in order to manage all your website services from one place. For more details on the differences between connecting and transferring a domain, check here.

  I am not sure of the alterations or website you are referring to but making changes should not be too difficult as WordPress was designed for people with little or no coding experience in mind.
