  I am having difficulty renewing my domain, which is past due. When I go to the purchases tab and attempt to resubscribe it tells me that someone else originally paid for the domain. I believe I paid originally, but if not it was my co-owner and I would like to take over payment (with his permission).

  Hi there,

  Is this for the domain, tormentedbygnomes.com ?

  That domain was bought by a different username, millsmillsymills, and only that username can renew it.

  However, it looks like it has already been renewed, but let me know if you still need any help with this.

  Thanks kokkieh. Millsmillsymills dug up his password and we took care of it. I’m guessing since he did the initial purchase he’s marked as the technical owner of the domain, which is why I’m not able to renew on my account.

  That is correct. However, if that user is no longer active on the site they can transfer the site and it’s upgrades to another account that is.
