Hi @genuinearticlex7,
If you are looking to upgrade go here: https://wordpress.com/pricing/ and then click on Start with Premium.Read more about upgrading to premium here: https://wordpress.com/premium/
-
Or you can go to My Site > Plan and then select the Premium plan by clicking on the respective Upgrade button.
-
Yes, but when I did this it says Pay $ 99.00 and then it declined the card I set up to do this. On a different note it approved my card for buying a domain name ??? I’m confused as to what is going on with this.
-
All WordPressdotcom plans are paid annually. Regardless, I’ve tagged this for Staff assistance to see what is going on behind the curtain.

Hello again, If you look again at the pricing page, it says
$8.25 per month, billed yearly
Once you’ve upgraded, your plan will automatically renew each year with the credit card details you provide. More here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/faq-renewing-and-canceling/
If you decide to cancel your plan, you can do so at any time, but a refund is only available within 30 days of purchase, the exception being if you purchase a custom domain name, which can only be cancelled and refunded within 48 hours after purchase. More about refunds here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/refunds/

Good Morning –
Thank you for tagging this thread.
As mentioned, all of the upgrades on WordPress.com are billed annually. We are unable to provide a monthly billing option.
On your account I see that WordPress.com Premium has been purchased separately from genuinearticlex7.com. This domain can be included with the Premium plan and price.
I can add genuinearticlex7.com to your Premium account, using the custom domain credit OR you can leave it separate and register another domain with that plan credit.
The price breakdown is :
$26 for annual registration of genuinearticlex7.com
$99 for WordPress.com PremiumIt will save you $26 if we move the domain to the active plan.
Please reply and let me know how you’d like to proceed.

The monthly pricing is outlined to give you an idea of the pricing, but the payment is collected for the annual upgrade price at the time of purchase.
That is visible at wordpress.com/pricing/ Here’s a screen shot as well: https://cloudup.com/cIGDIqWbpOC
There is a thirty day refund window if you decide that the purchase does not suit your needs.
-
It will be a week from Wednesday before I can pay the $ 99 but yes I want genuinearticlex7 as the domain on the premium plan. Please advise.
-
When you’re ready to make the payment you can add the plan to your account from wordpress.com/pricing/
Then you’ll head back to your account and click My Sites < Domains < Add and register the domain of your choice. There are credits on the account from the plan purchase to cover the domain registration, you do not have to pay anything additional for this.
Can I ask what it is you need in WordPress.com Premium? Will Personal be a more affordable option at about 1/3 the price?
-
-
Ok. Which feature of Premium do you need for that? The text on the pages and posts do not count towards your storage. Only images, documents, videos count towards that allotment. Starting with Personal may be a more affordable option. You can always upgrade later on – and if you upgrade before the Personal renewal you’ll only pay the difference in price between WordPress.com Personal and Premium.
-
Apparently I have made the payment since I printed a receipt this morning. My funds were insufficient so … O NO. So once I get back from the bank I’ll need to figure out how to get the premium site I have paid for set up for my purchased domain name.
-
I’ll be able to help you add genuinearticlex7.com to your Premium plan. Was that the question? Or is there a different domain you need help with?
