  To upgrade my plan from Free to Business (or any other plan), my checkout page details I have to by for the whole year. Is there a way to pay monthly instead?

  There are currently no monthly payment plans at WordPress.com. Upgrades need to be paid for annually in advance: https://wordpress.com/pricing/

  Okay. I have another question. How does Pressable work? Will I still be able to use my WordPress account? Also, would I be charged an additional fee for using Pressable?

  You’ll have to ask Pressable about their charges. This is WordPress.com. Pressable has no connection. It host sites using the WordPress.org software. See the differences between the two similar-sounding platforms here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
