  I wanted to know do I have to pay up front for wordpress for the year? Can I pay for it month to month ? I don’t have the extra money to pay for it all at once right now.

  No, you can’t pay on monthly basis. WordPress doesn’t allow payment on the monthly basis all payments are billed annually for more information please visit the link below:

  Just to add to @shubhamgmath’s answer, yes the yearly payment is upfront and at the start of subscription and not at the end of the subscription.
