  If you already own a domain and wish to use it with your WordPress.com site then you’ll have to upgrade your site with one of the WordPress.com Plan.

  Each plan comes with free domain credit which you can either use to register a domain or Map a domain you already own for free.

  Hi gertrudes29,

  it’s aly paid in my current domain provider.

  As @vishalmukadam mentioned, an existing domain can be connected to successsecret625046461.wordpress.com with domain mapping:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/

  This means the domain itself will remain registered through your current provider and renewed through them. Domain mapping is a feature of paid plans — the Personal plan is the cheapest option if you are upgrading primarily for a custom domain.

  The other option is to transfer the domain to WordPress.com so renewal will be included in the plan cost each year.
