  How do I just pay the monthly fee and not the total fee when setting up my account? At the end of set up it asks for the full amount to be paid

  Hello there, WordPress.com plans are charged annually and there is no monthly payment option available.

  And you’ll be billed annual subscription fee during the renewal of your plan as well.
