    i don’t have a business license, if i use wordpress to build an online shop,
    can i use individual paypal account as payment gateway ?
    shopify needs a business license to use paypal as payment gateway.

    Hi tyler00822,

    You do not need a business license to use PayPal with WordPress.com.

    You can add a shop to your site with our Business plan using WooCommerce or the eCommerce plugin of your choice. If you aren’t ready for the Business plan, you can set up a PayPal button for individual purchases or donations using the Premium plan.

    The second option would be done through Simple Payments:

    Neither option requires a business license to accept payments via PayPal.
