  I’m curious about this too. I want to be able to pay up until I can at least get everything from a Tumblr blog archived.

  All WordPress.com plans are billed annually in advance, so you pay $96 up front for the Premium Plan, refundable for 30 days.

  You can register or transfer in one domain for free as part of the plan. Next year the domain will renew at an additional cost on top of the plan’s. The cost of the domain will depend on the exact domain extension:
