  Can I start by paying for 6 months period? I am trying to build a website by taking the premium subscription.

  There is no monthly payment here.

  WordPress.com plans are being billed yearly and unless you opt-out they will automatically renew. 30 days after purchasing a plan you have the option to
  request a refund.
