  Hi – a payment has come of my card for something relating to WordPress – can you help or give me a number to call to discuss this query

  You have just created this new WordPress.com account so no doubt the charge will refer to a different account/site. There is no phone support at WordPress.com but this link https://wpchrg.wordpress.com/ should help you find more details of the charge and there is a contact form there too.
