  How can I change my account from US dollars to GBP? I am finding problems with my credit card company sometimes accepting payment to the US

  Below are the only accepted means of payment.

  WordPress.com uses PayPal as the payment processor, and as such, can only accept payment from countries they support: https://www.paypal.com/worldwide/

  If for whatever reason, they have chosen to block payment from your country, you will not be able to purchase an upgrade here unless you have a source of payment outside of your country. Note: You can buy a prepaid credit card from an approved country or pay in Bitcoin.

  In addition to major credit cards Mastercard, VISA, American Express, Discover, and PayPal https://www.paypal.com/worldwide/ WordPress.com can accept echecks and some debit cards.

  The debit card must have a VISA or Mastercard symbol on it, and should work just like a credit card when selecting the VISA or Mastercard option on the payment form, even though it’s a debit card.

  Sorry, I obviously haven’t made my query quite clear!
  I am based in the UK and would prefer my WordPress account to show pricing in sterling (GBP) rather than in US dollars.
  When I tried to set up a payment in US dollars (which I know will be converted into GBP) using my Mastercard, the security department of my card provider blocked the transaction – they say they are wary of online payments to the US as there has been fraudulent activity by a number of US sites.
  Obviously this is not the case with WordPress but it is inconvenient having to go through the unblocking process – it would just be easier if my account could be recognised as a UK one from the outset. I know this can be done as I also work on a friend’s WordPress sites which show transactions in GBP and payments go through with no problems.

  A bit confused why my last post came up as being from deansugden and not me (junerowlands) – possibly because I was logged into a site I follow rather than my own!! But the comment/query is mine!!
