Hi, I’m trying to locate details of a payment that has been taken from our payment card but which I can’t see in my billing history or purchases. Please could you help?

Hi there,
The account you’re using to post here does not own any upgrades. The site, islexpo.wordpress.com, does have a Premium Plan, but the plan belongs to a different user and there hasn’t been recent charges on that account either.
Can you please provide more information on the charge inquestion, e.g. the date and amount?

Hi there, thanks for your response.
We have a transaction number of: [redacted by staff] , 8772733049 US
Amount 12 Oct 2017 – £77.45/$99.
Further transaction at same time in 2016.We can’t work this out at all. We’ve previously operated under the http://www.comerevel.com URL and think that a previous supplier might have used our card to purchase a template.
The item purchased in 2017 is not required so I gather this must have been purchased on a renewal of some sort.
It would much appreciated if you could help us locate where the card details are stored and find out whether we could secure a refund.

Please don’t post transaction numbers here. This is a public forum, and transaction numbers can be used to gain access to an account. That is why I did not ask for a transaction ID.
The domain, comerevel.com, is not connected to WordPress.com in any way.
Instead, it appears this was for the renewal of the Premium Plan and domain on the site, isleofarchitecturenews.com, owned by the username isleofarchitecture and first purchased in November 2016.
Are you aware of that site/account?
If that is also your account and you’ve lost access, or else if you did not authorise this charge and would like it refunded, please let me know.

Okay, understood on the transaction number.
We did oversee some work on http://www.isleofarchitecture.com and agreed to the use of our card for this in Nov 2016. However, we weren’t aware that this would renew in 2017. Would you be able to refund this latest charge at all and remove our card details from the account?
I meant to mention that we also need to locate receipts/invoices for each of these purchases. Do you have access to these?

We are only able to send those to the email address of the account that purchased the upgrade – it’s an automated system and while I can resend an email, I cannot manually edit the address to which it is sent. Please contact the owner of that site directly to request that they forward you a receipt for the payment.

Could you confirm at all whether the owner of the site is a generic Isle of Architecture or a different supplier starting with ‘william’? This will help us locate the receipt.

The username of the account is isleofarchitecture. We don’t collect full names from users, and this user does not appear to have filled out their full name in their public profile, so we don’t have that information at all.
