Payment for wordpress services with local government funds

    Hi there,
    I work for a small island government in the Pacific (CNMI). My consumer advocacy program is federally funded, but we must use the local procurement processes to purchase goods or services. This is an entirely paper process, with no access to account withdrawal or credit/debit cards for online purchases. We give vendors purchase orders as vouchers which they must submit to the local government for check payment. Cumbersome I know, but it probably won’t change anytime soon.
    I’m grateful for the free services provided by wordpress and have been using wordpress for my program’s website. However, I’d like to expand the capabilities of the website, but have no way of making a payment online. Basically, I have the money, but having no way of getting it to wordpress. Is there any way I could pay by check?

    I’m sorry but that’s not possible. We all pay in full at the time of purchase. There are no invoice or purchase order options. Below are the only accepted means of payment.

    WordPress.com uses PayPal as the payment processor, and as such, can only accept payment from countries they support: https://www.paypal.com/worldwide/

    If for whatever reason, they have chosen to block payment from your country, you will not be able to purchase an upgrade here unless you have a source of payment outside of your country.

    In addition to major credit cards Mastercard, VISA, American Express, Discover, and PayPal https://www.paypal.com/worldwide/ WordPress.com can accept echecks and some debit cards.

    The debit card must have a VISA or Mastercard symbol on it, and should work just like a credit card when selecting the VISA or Mastercard option on the payment form, even though it’s a debit card.

    WordPress.com also accept Bitcoin for payment of certain upgrades http://en.support.wordpress.com/bitcoin/

    Every blog has a sole owner and it is the person with the username account who registered the blog under their account and associated email address. You must be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard and make the purchase at > Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades. After you make your purchase here > Dashboard > Store > Billing History is where you can print out your own receipt.

    Unfortunately we cannot accept payments in the form of cash or check. Our only accepted modes of payment are:

    • Credit Cards
    • Debit Cards with Mastercard or Visa logo
    • Paypal
    • Bitcoin

    Alternately, if you know someone outside the Northern Marianas who has access to the payment modes above, you may add them as an administrator in your blog and have them purchase the upgrades for you.
