    Yes it is saying that my debit card has been declined and to please try another. I know plenty of funds are in my account to cover the payment and that card is working as on same day I purchased something else online.

    My bank is Indian HDFC which is a major bank and the debit card provider logos are Rupay (one of largest in India) and Discover and Diners Club. My expiry date on card is 2023.

    It is possible to do bank transfer but I would need to visit bank and that is difficult right now.

    Can someone at your payment gateway find out exactly why it was declined? There should be some code or other so that we know what the perceived issue is.

    Sometime ago I used to run a successful online e-commerce business. On my site I offered payment by credit and debit card and so I know that when ever a payment is declined by the payment gateway, you are provided with the reason for the declined transaction. Knowing this saves a lot of pointless effort and directs you to a workable solution. The problem could be with your gateway just not being able to accept this particular debit card. That would be an issue that I would want to look into if I was WordPress and trying to target Indian customers-HDFC is one of the big banks here. I would also want to make my shopping cart identify such transactions with either an automated email to client with probable causes and a follow up to my sales team to retrieve the decline code (after all, this was almost a sale)

    Secondly, it feels like WordPress values their time more than mine when they can’t be bothered to look up the reason a transaction was declined and instead ask me to go and visit my bank to ask for the reason (not even armed with a transaction ID)

    So can you please provide a transaction ID and a reason for the decline since money is in the account and we are in strict lock down in India for last 70days, so getting to bank is issue.
