payment has gone through but upgrade has not

  I upgraded my account yesterday to the “personal” plan. I can see the payment taken from my account but when I look at my profile on WordPress is says I am on the FREE plan.

  I need this sorted so I can contact support regarding linking my WordPress to my URL.
  It is currently saying that there is already a wordpress account mapped to my URL but I do not know what account that is? So I need to unmap whatever that wordpress is so I can map this one.

  I can you see you purchased the Personal for sallycrampton.com, using the account you are logged in to now. Is that the site you are referring to?

  It is currently saying that there is already a wordpress account mapped to my URL but I do not know what account that is?

  Which URL are you seeing this message for?

  Yes, the account that was upgraded should be this one:
  sallycramptoncom.wordpress.com.

  When I attempt to map sallycramptoncom.wordpress.com. to my URL http://www.sallycrampton.com I get a message that there is already a wordpress account mapped to that URL??

  Yes, the account that was upgraded should be this one: sallycramptoncom.wordpress.com.

  I see what has happened. There are two sites in your account and the domain is currently mapped to sallycramptondotcom.wordpress.com (not sallycramptoncom.wordpress.com).

  Would you like me to move the plan and domain mapping over to sallycramptoncom.wordpress.com?

  Thank you for looking into that. I must have created two by accident and have gotten confused as to which was which.

  If you can please move the plan and domain mapping over to sallycramptoncom.wordpress.com that would be great

  one quick question. The naming convention of my account sallycramptoncom.wordpress.com doesnt mean anything to the outside world right? As in the content will appear on Sallycrampton.com and they wont see sallycramptoncom.wordpress.com (which is a bit convoluted as a name) – hope that makes sense

  Hi there,

  I’ve moved the plan and domain mapping over to sallycramptoncom.wordpress.com.

  The next steps it to ask your domain provider (Netregistry) to update the DNS settings to those in this guide:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/#2-ask-your-domain-provider-to-update-your-dns-settings

  Once updated, the domain will point to your WordPress.com site. Although, bear in mind this isn’t always instant and it can take up to 48 hours for the settings to fully update.

  As in the content will appear on Sallycrampton.com and they wont see sallycramptoncom.wordpress.com

  That’s correct. You have chosen sallycrampton.com as the primary domain. Visitors to your site will see that domain rather than your default WordPress.com address.
