Payment issue

In the section where it states to choose a plan for the website, the price shows a monthly fee which i was ok with. But after continuing further it says that the plan will be billed yearly. But i when i proceeded to checkout its asking me to pay $299 now. is it that i can’t pay just the monthly fee i have to pay it all at once in order to have a published site?

  • Hey ,

Please reference this thread which covers your question. Basically, there is no option to pay monthly. All Plans are billed annually and paid in advance.

However, there are other options as outlined within the thread linked above.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions.

    Hi There-

WordPress.com offers various types of plans, here is a link to see each plan side-by-side:

    https://wordpress.com/pricing/

Currently WordPress.com just offers yearly pricing. What you selected was the Business Plan. You can start with the free plan, then upgrade if you need to depending on the type of site you want to create. If you decide to go with one of the yearly packages, you can cancel and refund your Plan in the 30-day window from date of purchase.

    Hopefully this helps.

  • With that being said, the Free plan is a published site. Here is a helpful link for exploring all of the different plans and what they include: https://wordpress.com/pricing/
