payment issue, plugin needed

  I need a plugin that works with strip that will allow our customers to book an appointment with an independent contractor, but not be charged until after the service is rendered. The way its setup now, the user has to pre-pay for the service when they book.

  Hi there – I think we’ll need a little more information to understand your needs better.

  How do you envision the charge being triggered? Or by whom?

  For example, would the contractor log in and trigger the charge? Or would the contractor contact you to then charge the customer? Or would the customer need to login and let you know they have completed the service?

  Thanks for the reply.

  The contractor would mark the lesson as complete then an invoice would be with the amount of time the lesson actually took multiplied by their hourly rate and sent to student. Once the contractor marked lesson as complete and invoice sent that would trigger the students credit card on file to be charged and then deposited into instructors bank account that they have on file with us.

  Same way task rabbit does it.

  Yes. Task Rabbit and plenty others let you book an appointment for something, but not be charged until after the service is completed.

  What should work for your needs, as you describe them, is the following combination:

  1. WooCommerce: https://woocommerce.com/

  2. WooCommerce Bookings: https://woocommerce.com/products/woocommerce-bookings/

  3. Stripe and then utilize Stripe’s capture/authorize settings: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/looking-to-capture-payment-authorization-but-delay-charge/

  The Theme they are using for my site is masterstudy, hopefully the Woocommerce fix you said will work with that theme. Waiting to hear back from the devs.

  From my dev “ Sorry we can not use other theme specific plug-in as it interferes with other plugins and modules that are working on your site. We can not use some plugins together as they do not coexist with one another”

  Looks like won’t work with our theme master study. Know any plugins that will do what I need and work with my theme? Thanks
