  Dear WordPress community members,
  I have a specific question regarding payment options. I want to purchase the ‘Blogger’ plan to have a website for an event that will take place later this year. The event is hosted by a public academic institution and thus payment would ideally work via the academic institution. The academic institution has asked whether it is possible to ask WordPress for a proforma invoice (or an offer) addressed to the academic institution. If this is possible (once the academic institution has received the offer) then the academic institution can order the domain (the “Blogger” plan) using their official form. So, my question is: Is this payment method possible? And if so, how can I contact WordPress/Automattic regarding this specific issue?

  I’m afraid WordPress.com doesn’t accept purchase orders. Upgrades need to be paid for at the time of purchase. Once you’ve paid you can print off a receipt to enable you to get reimbursed by your organisation.
