Payment not allowed? (Please take our money!)

    After being declined to upgrade to a Premium account, we received the following message on email:

    “Hi,

    Thanks for reaching out. We reserve the right to limit purchases on WordPress.com sites, so payments will not be allowed for this account.

    Your site is online, and you may use it on our free plan for as long as you’d like without additional upgrades.”

    This message says extremely little, as we wanted to know what the issue was, as we tried both debit cards and Paypal and were unable to pay regardless.

    Any chance we could get an answer with a bit more information (here or email), or allow us to give you our money?

    I took a look, and it doesn’t look like there’s any history of purchase attempts, transactions, or billing activity under the account you’re currently logged into, so we’re limited to what we can help with and advise here.

    If you got an email from us, you should be able to respond to that email to ask for more information. If you aren’t able to reply to that email, please provide the username of the account that attempted the purchase and we’ll be better able to advise.

    thank you for the reply. I got a rather rude answer from the support, but hopefully you can provide actual help?

    “We won’t be providing any further detail about why payments will remain blocked. If you’d like more options than are available on our free plan, you may also consider using the free version of WordPress, available here: https://wordpress.org/”

    The username we used (sorry for the confusion, my girlfriend created the account) is: hlseosolutions

    Staff in the forums are the same as the Support that responds to emails. If that was the answer you were given by Support, then that is the answer and we won’t provide further details.
