payment with PayPal

Hi,
I would like to pay the WordPress services with a PayPal account linked to a bank account. Everytime I want to do that, I get back to the unique proposal of uploading details of a credit card, which I don’t want. Is it a PayPal restriction or a WordPress one?

Hi there!
When you choose the option to pay using PayPal (here are the instructions for that), we redirect you to PayPal for processing the payment. We don’t ask for the credit card details when you’re trying to pay with PayPal. Can you look into the address bar of the window that asks for your credit card details and see if it says paypal.com or something else?
You can also take a screenshot and upload it to your media library at https://wordpress.com/media – we can then take a look at it to be sure where it’s coming from.

Hello,
Thank you for your message. I have uploaded screenshots of the 3 steps necessary to be connected to PayPal, and step 4 as the result where I am stuck. It says paypal.com but I have no other choice than a credit card or a debit card; if I close this window, I go to “step 4” and if I click on “add a payment method”, I go back to “step 3” again.

Based on that error message in “step 4”, it looks like PayPal is requiring you to register a credit card to your account in order to complete this purchase. You should reach out to them to see what you can do here:
