payments

Help! I chose Bluehost to be my hosting platform and started creating a website using WordPress. I have the WP Pro Hosting Build plan. Whenever I try to add something like a payment button, I get a message I need to upgrade. What have I done wrong? Does WordPress host websites itself? Should I do that?

    WP.com: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there!

You’ve posted to the free support forums for websites hosted here at WordPress.com. Since you have your site hosted with Bluehost and not WordPress.com, I would recommend you reach out to Bluehost support for help and they can direct you to the correct place to work on your website.

WordPress.com also provides hosting of the WordPress software and it looks like you have been working on and adding a ton of content to your free WordPress.com site located here:

Sites hosted here are completely separate from sites hosted elsewhere. You can upgrade to a paid plan here which would allow you to use a custom domain, add a payments button (as you found out), etc. You can compare the different plans here:

    https://wordpress.com/pricing/

So it all depends on where you want to host your site. If you want to stay with Bluehost, ask their support for help in moving what you’ve created so far here over to the site hosted there.

Or, if you do want to host here (we do have some great benefits you won’t get hosting elsewhere), you can reach out to Bluehost support and ask to cancel and refund your plan there. They have a 30-day refund policy, so as long as you’re within that you should be able to cancel. Upgrading to one of our paid plans also gives you access to priority support options (like email and live chat) that may be helpful as well.

I hope that helps! If anything is unclear, or if you have other questions, please let us know. :)
