payments disabled by customer service? Why?

    I’ve tried to pay for a subscription for website hosting on WordPress. As soon as I tried to use a credit card to pay, it was declined and I was told to contact customer service, then I was told in a brief email that my account is disabled for payments. WHY????? How can I get hosting for a website? I’ve done absolutely nothing wrong! Does this have anything to do with my being in Morocco, and this being a frequently blacklisted country? I am desperately looking for some answers, thank you for any help.

    Hi @jenbrody,

    Did you check if you had this same issue using another card, or any other payment method? Also, you may need to check the payment privileges on that particular credit card, is it enabled for international payments or not? (Contact your bank customer service)

    Hi, thanks, but the credit card is not the issue here. I just spoke to my credit card company and they verified that there is no issue with the card, it also has never been a problem until now to use that card from where I am. It appears the credit card company never even got the request from WordPress. So it is WordPress that’s creating the problem, and they stated (in this terse email that explained nothing) that they “have the right to deny service to anyone at their discretion.” That sounds to me like I’m being blacklisted because of my location/country. How can I contact WordPress to ask them about this?

    @jenbrody: you’ve already been contacted by the payments team with their decision. If you have further questions, you need to respond to their email.
