  No, I am not trying to add a DONATE button. I have seen and followed those instructions. I am trying to add ADD TO CART buttons. I do not want people to donate money. I want to sell things from my website.

  We can only support the Donate button on WordPress.com.

  If you require e-commerce/shopping cart functionality, you might be interested in a self-hosted (WordPress.org) installation. There are no restrictions on e-commerce if you set up a self-hosted WordPress.org blog instead of a WordPress.com blog, but there are some added responsibilities.
