PayPal Button with dropdown

I would like to be able to add a Paypal button to my website with a drop-down menu so people can choose what kind of gift card they would like to purchase.
When I followed the instructions provided by WordPress it stated clearly that I cannot customize the button, and when I just copy & paste code from Paypal (with the customizations) then it just displays all of the options I am trying to list as plain text.I want people to be able to pay for a gift card and select how much they want the gift card to be for

It is not possible to embed a PayPal button like that on WordPress.com. Only the basic Pay Now/Donate button can be added to a WordPress.com site.
The button options that include a form, selection buttons, or drop-down menus contain code that isn’t allowed on WordPress.com for security reasons.

The advanced button can only be used on our Business Plan, but then you might as well use a proper ecommerce and payment gateway plugin instead.
Or else on our Premium Plan you can use the Simple Payments option, but there you still won’t be able to add multiple price options to a single payment button, but will need to add a separate payment block for each separate option.

How were you planning on getting details from the person buying the gift card so you can send it to them? If you use a contact form, you can add a selection field to that form, and then just let someone type in the amount manually when making the payment via PayPal.
Or else create multiple buttons, each with their own amount preset, as it is possible to specify that with the simple PayPal button.
