Paypal – Buy & shopping cart buttons – Can´t insert them!!!
-
Hi.
Im new to WordPress, and i want to creat a blog/site where i can write my stuff and sell some
items.The problem is that i cant integrate the paypal Buy button and view shopping cart button in the page in my blog. My button has a option filed wich should appear in the page too!
I switch to “CODE” view while writing the content of the page, and paste the button code there, but when i preview the page nothing appears.
What am i doing wrong???
Thnk´s in advance!

I’ll be nice and just say that you can’t sell stuff from your wp.com blog.
Feel free to search the forums (as well as the FAQ, the stickies, the ToS, etc.) as paypal has been covered in the past.

All the posts I can find on this forum about PayPal are about the donate buttons, not the shopping cart or buy now buttons. Word Press can do amazing things, so I don’t see why adding PayPal buttons to sell stuff from your blog is such a difficult thing to implement. I wish I knew coding as this would be the first thing I would try to achieve. Someone must be able to figure this out, is there not a piece of code that the PayPal code can be placed between which the WYSIWYG editor can ignore? If it can be done for advertising codes, how comes it cannot be done for a form code?
Thanks to anyone who can shed better ligh on this issue.

@perlina
Please take the time to read the ToS section 2, bullet 5 that you agreed to to get a blog here. And then proceed to read the advertising polcy. I have provided the links for you.http://wordpress.com/tos/
http://faq.wordpress.com/?s=advertisingShopping cart and buy now buttons are not allowed – In a nutshell wordpress.com blogs are non-commercial blogs, we cannot advertise on them and, we cannot transact business on them and, we cannot use them to drive business to 3rd party sites.
We cannot use javascript, forms or iframes on this multiuser blogging platform.

https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic.php?id=10128Please read the sticky post at the head of the forum titled “Please read me first before posting”. It describes the differences between wordpress.com and wordpress.org. Perhaps you best bet is to hire a web host and download the free standing software from wordpress.org where these restrictions do not apply.
Also note that we do not discuss policy of the forums. If you have something to say to staff on these policy issues please use this link http://wordpress.com/contact-support/
