I just received notice that my PayPal was billed $13 for an automatic WordPress payment. I seem to have forgotten why this was set up and am having the hardest time figuring it out. Can you please help me? Here are some details:
PayPal email address: (email visible only to moderators and staff)
PayPal transaction ID: [redacted]
Billing ID: [redacted]Thank you,

OMG, I thought I was sending a customer support note. Now my info is public in the forum and I can’t seem to edit or delete!

This thread is tagged for Staff support and Staff will remove the personal info.
There is no phone support and $13 is equal to a domain mapping upgrade renewal.
How many username accounts and sites do you have? Maybe you failed to cancel one and disable auto renew.
Canceling and Refunding Purchases
https://en.support.wordpress.com/manage-purchases/#canceling-and-refunding-purchasesAutomattic Inc. https://automattic.com/ owns WordPress.com and other products like Akismet and VaultPress, etc. so this could be a charge related to one of them. It’s important to know that each charge is sent to the registered email address for each username account, so if you have more than one username account that could be confusing you. Also, if you have a wordpress.org account and a wordpress.com account that could be confusing you.
Have you tried using this resource?

Thanks very much for the reply and helpful info. I have one WordPress site: CantinaDan.com but thought that was free.
A couple years ago I tried helping a friend design a website and may have signed up for something that I’m forgetting. When I finally asked a developer for help he noticed I signed up under WordPress.org instead of .com (or was it the other way around??) Maybe the $13 has something to do with that mess! Ugh, I’m a nitwit.

Custom domains are not free and domain mapping to them is not free either.

I realize I pay for my domain name and hosting. But I didn’t realize I owed WordPress anything. I’m not sure what “domain mapping” is. Is that what I’m paying WordPress $13 a year for?

Hi there @cantinadan, I’ve removed the sensitive information for you from your first post.
Domain mapping connects a custom domain you purchased elsewhere, like Tucows, to a WordPressdotcom site. If you no longer need that upgrade, you can cancel it through your Manage Purchases dashboard https://wordpress.com/me/purchases If you don’t see it there, it might be under a different account (like your friend’s).
Be aware that individual upgrades, like domain mapping on its own, are no longer available here on WordPressdotcom so if you want domain mapping in the future, you’ll need to purchase an upgrade plan instead. So make sure you want/need to cancel before doing so.
I’ve left the tag for Staff on this thread as they can see whether you have any purchases on this account. If you do find and cancel it yourself, please come back and post in this forum thread. Thanks.

Hi Danny,
I’ve sent an email to the address on your account, I’ll follow up with you there for more information about the charge.
Please let me know if you don’t receive my email.
Thanks!
