PayPal Drop down

good morning! been trying to brainstorm other options here.
i noticed this e-commerce tool exists for wordpress.org:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-e-commerce/
might you know if a similar free tool like this exists for wordpress.com?
i thought this might be a good option for what we are trying to achieve.
in the end we are trying to find a tool to manage payments for events and membership.

I’m afraid the only integrated e-commerce tools for WordPress.com are those you get with the business upgrade. There’s no free option for that on this platform. The only options without upgrading is to use the PayPal button/contact form combo, or use a third-party service provider for sales.

kokkieh – is the data that is entered into a contact form saved on the back-end anywhere?
-
It is. On the WP-Admin dashboard (http://friendsofdcwc.wordpress.com/wp-admin/) under the Feedback item in the menu you can view the info from submitted contact forms. You can also download it from there in a spreadsheet format.
Additionally, if someone submits a contact form it is also emailed to the email address associated with your account, or you can specify a different email address where the contact form info can be sent. It is all discussed in this support doc: https://en.support.wordpress.com/contact-form/

I would mention at this point that I’ll be away from a computer until Monday, starting now, so if you have any more questions you’re welcome to start a new thread, or you can also post them here – if another volunteer doesn’t jump in I’ll be back to answer after the weekend :)

ok thank you kokkieh! have a great long weekend. your help has been invaluable and thank you for writing back so quickly.
