PayPal email link unavailable
-
Hi there,
I understand that when trying to add a PayPal button, you must select the “email” link and not the “html” code. However, when we are creating our PayPal link, there is not an option for “email” where there should be. We are selling something with two price points, so there is a dropdown box for the customer to choose. When we tried removing the second option, so there is only one, the email link appears. When we have the drop down, only the html option exists. I know this is a Pay Pal problem, except that WP only accepts the email link and not HTML, so it feels fair to ask you as well. Is there any way to get an email link when we have a drop down? Alternately is there any way to use the HTML code on the WP page. Thanks for any help! We do not want to create two buttons, bc some people may be buying some of each and we don’t want them to have to go through Pay Pal twice for what is essentially one transaction. Thanks! The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hey there,
So sorry you’re having that trouble! Unfortunately, with the way that email buttons are created, the only option is to use two different Buy Now buttons. I wish there were a way around this, but unfortunately, that HTML won’t work on your site. The PayPal transactions will have to be separate.
I suppose one solution would be to create 3 different items. For example:
Item A which is $10
Item B which is $20
Item C (which contains both Item A and B) and costs $30I know this isn’t optimal, but it will allow you to create a situation where your customers only have to click one Buy Now button.
I hope this helps! If you have any other concerns, drop me a note. Many thanks.
