PayPal Etsy and My WordPress

Hi.
I have a simple wordpress page – recently set up. I’ve watched the ‘add paypal button’ how-to film, and possibly because i was trying to sell one item, not a donate button, paypal didn’t offer the e-mail code option. Therefore the web code didn’t work in wordpress.
I’m happy to set up an etsy account if this works to sell items. But how do i link these pages?Thank you for any help.

You have to use the email button code that WordPress suggests. You can’t use a Buy It Now button or any of that, because those are javascript. If you can find an HTML-only version of the button you want to use, you can try it. But also note that you can’t use the encrypted form of any button.
You can make a new IMAGE and use that as the link to the paypal page, though. Instead of DONATE it can say BUY IT FOR $45 or whatever. Then you upload it here to your WP.com account and use that image in place of the image that Paypal provides.

i’ll follow those through… realised the javascript didn’t work, but wasn’t offered a choice via paypal. Perhaps the design ur own button option will offer me that choice.Timetheif…. i did see your comments on previous threads re: making money policy for wordpress, which was news to me as i’d seen artists blogs with shops. But, I shall read and learn.

seems to be the answernow need to learn the how to on integrating wordpress to web. As life, it’s a learning curve.
