Paypal Payment Successful but WooCommerce Order Just Shows ‘Pending’

This is happening on two of our sites and can’t figure out why the two platforms aren’t communicating or how to reconnect them. Does anyone have any idea why we receive an order, the customer pays and is successful via Paypal but the WooCommerce order doesn’t go beyond the ‘pending payment’ stage? If you confirm the order manually, then the ‘new order’ email drops in. Thanks, Simon
