Paypal payment without credit card

  After registering a domain with WordPress, I would like to pay using my Paypal account. I do not have a credit card, but there are sufficient funds in my Paypal account. Is there any way I can pay through Paypal without a credit card? It doesn’t give me that option!

  WordPress.com accepts payments directly through PayPal accounts. If you don’t see any PayPal option this might be due to some country specific restrictions imposed by PayPal, or something else.
  In any case, I’ve notified the Support Staff to have a look.

  I do get the Paypal option, but then it tells me I have to add a credit card in order to pay through Paypal. Credit cards are still pretty rare in The Netherlands, since we mostly use Paypal and iDeal.

  Hi! Can you tell me if you have enough funds in your Paypal account, or just drawing directly from your connected bank account?

  If it’s the former, try unchecking the box that asks you to save your information to make your next purchase faster and see if that lets you skip the credit card step.

  If it’s the latter, can you try transferring funds to your Paypal account, wait for the funds to arrive, then give the payment another shot?
