Paypal Subscribe Button

  When I follow your instructions for adding a Paypal Subscribe button, Paypal does not generate an email code, only an HTML code. How do I get a Paypal Subscribe button to be loaded in my wordpress blog site?

  Our free hosted WordPress.com blogs cannot be equipped for eCommerce transactions. The only instructions we have been provided with are those for a PayPal donation button. http://en.support.wordpress.com/paypal/

  This article you reference indicates that all the Paypal buttons should generate an email code. however, only the ‘Donate’ Paypal button does. The ‘Subscribe’ Paypal button, which is the one that provides automatically recurring donations, does not generate an email code – only an HTML code. Any way to get the ‘Subscribe’ Paypal button to work on the free WordPress.com blog?

  @cowleys4haiti: you can only use the Donate button for one-time payments and not for recurring payment subscriptions on WordPress.com.

  If you really need to have more flexibility regarding the payment options on your site, you might look into moving to a self-hosted WordPress.org installation: http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
