  Hello everyone,

  I had a question if it was possible to have a “PayPal” system added into a blog / site of wordpress? If so, can you please give me a walkthrough?

  If and only if you are referring to the empty free blog from and being free hosted by wordpress.COM and to referring to a wordpress.ORG install the following will apply.

  I’m afraid e-commerce isn’t possible here at WordPress.com, and there are no plans to develop anything for that at this time. In a nutshell free blogs from and being free hosted by wordpress.COM cannot be used to drive traffic to third-party sites by means of advertising and/or affiliate programs (See here for the only exceptions http://wordpress.com/types-of-blogs/).

  No blogger initiated advertising, retailing or reselling the work created or services provided by anyone other than yourself is allowed. In the case of blogs that fit that description we can use only the unencrypted PayPal donation button on wordpress.COM blogs. http://en.support.wordpress.com/paypal/

  If you require e-commerce/shopping cart functionality, there are no restrictions on e-commerce if you setup a self-hosted WordPress.org blog instead of a free hosted WordPress.com blog. You can use an encrypted PayPal button on a wordpress.ORG install.

  Thanks for the explanation!
  When you say “No blogger initiated advertising, retailing or reselling the work created or services provided by anyone other than yourself is allowed” does it mean that I can offer my own products and/or profesional sevices?
  In that case, could I add a “PayPal Buy Now” button?
