PDF Embed is no longer working (since 2022?)

  I have a PDF on my site: the embed used to display in the browser, but no longer displays. It does display in the editor view, but not on the actual site. Things I have tried:

  1. Replacing the PDF with a new file.
  2. Deleting the PDF display block and creating it again.

  On looking through search, it looks like this has been an issue since… 2022? Has this still not been fixed? Or is there new information about potential fixes for this issue available? https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/embedded-pdf-no-longer-displaying/

  The issue from that referenced thread was fixed back in 2022, but this is a new pdf embed bug that has surfaced recently. We are currently working on a fix, and we will be sure to contact you once we receive updates on a resolution. Apologies for the inconvenience.
