PDF FIle
-
I receive pictures which have been prepared in PDF format. I have installed PDF Embedded but how does the Plugin work please, do I select the file and load it like a normal file to the web page by clicking Add Media and the PlugIn does the rest, or is there more to it please??

Hi,
Most of the popular plugins are included automatically within all the site hosted on WordPress.com. Other plugins can’t be added to WordPress.com regardless of the upgrade.
To upload your PDF files, please refer to the following support page:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/uploading-documents/Currently, you are permitted to upload the following file types to your WordPress.com blog: https://en.support.wordpress.com/accepted-filetypes/
Happy blogging!

heliodore,
Thank you for that, much appreciated. If the PDF comes as a picture and not a .doc, do I have to open that picture and save it somewhere, say in
“My Pictures” then upload it to the page on my web site please? -
Please refer to the following support page: https://en.support.wordpress.com/images/uploading-images/

Thank you Heliodore, I am presuming you have to open the image first before you can install it to a page and this is where I have run into trouble. If I save the image as a PDF and try to insert it, it will not be accepted so I have to convert it to a PNG or JPEG first and then insert it??

heliodore, I have played around all this afternoon and would say there is no way you can install an image in PDF format on a WP website page. The only way I have found to overcome the problem is to use an on line PDF to PNG converter and then doing the upload.
It works so that will be my route in the future. Having said that, if I am wrong and there is a way, I would love to hear about it.
Thanks for your help, it was very kind of you to reply.
Best wishes,

Heliodore,
Not a problem. I know now to convert a graphic PDF to a PNG before I try to insert it to one of my pages. There are a lot of free online converters available, just have to make sure you don’t select a rogue one and land up with a load of virus.
Thanks again,
Take care,
Ron
