pdf file password protected, won’t download

    I’m trying to post a link to a pdf to download on one of my pages. I’ve uploaded the PDF to Media. I’ve made a button on the page that goes to the link. But, when someone visits the site and clicks on the button to download the link it asks for a password. How can I change that link so no password is necessary to download the pdf file?
