  Can I upload a pdf file to my blog, keeping it as a file that people can access? I don’t want to change the pdf to a simple blog entry but keep the pdf available with its own formatting and images.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  You can upload a pdf and include a link to it without turning it into a blog post. One workaround would be to have a text-widget and include a link on it. WordPress as a guide for making links and text-widgets:
