PDF files not downloading as PDF – Windows says ‘Type’ ‘File’

  PDF files not downloading as PDF – Windows says ‘Type’ ‘File’ – you have to go in and rename them PDF after downloading.
  You’ll not be able to access our site.

  I listed one and tagged as don’t show publicly – can’t access anyway as need a PW

  Hi,

  When I submitted request I inserted URL as was a required field (or I assumed as such) I selected don’t show publicly as that was an available option and the site isn’t a public site. I assume to determine next steps you’d need to visit the site, but you can’t as it requires log in details which I can’t provide.

  If the site is not hosted on WordPress.com, then it wouldn’t be possible for us to assist the site.

  You may wish to speak to the hosting provider as to why that’s not downloading, or you may find the WordPress.org forums useful: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
