PDF files not showing…..

I have been including a link in my posts that direct the readers to a PDF file, so that they can get the recipes from my blog in printable format.
So far, no problems, but for one particular post, the PDF is not showing – it either goes to a blank page, or to a ‘pseudo-post”, with the title of my file
I include here a link to the post in question – I have tried to upload the PDF file three or four times, always the same problem

the link to “print” is at the end of the recipe… just scroll down a little, you will see it

The ‘pseudo-post” is the so-called attachment page. That’s what you get when you click “Post URL” after uploading a file (or if that’s the option you had selected last time you did click one of the options after uploading and before inserting a file). Re-upload the file, this time clicking “File URL”.

You’re welcome. And it’s not a “naive mistake”: those two tabs should be “Link to File” and “Link to Att. Page”; the unfortunate “File URL” and “Post URL” verge on the occult, methinks…

Link to the image, (or to a url,)
or
link to an attachment page.At any rate, someone should explain what these “attachment pages” are and why they are linked to a post. (Post URL)
and how to un-link them to a post… -
