PDF remaining online with the whole web closed!

    Hi!
    I’ve just erased my web (i don’t want it anymore). On my web I uploaded a cv in pdf, now it’s absolutly old but it still appears on google if you write the name of the web (my name).

    What can i do? I don’t want my cv to be available online for anyone.

    WordPress.com staff can recover your site if it was deleted less than 30 days ago. Please share the address of the site you deleted. You should then be able to remove the pdf the same way you uploaded it.

    A modlook tag has been added to ask a member of staff if it can be restored.

    Hi adamdv0711,

    Deleting files from WordPress.com won’t automatically remove them from search engines results — these are something we have no control over. You could ask Google to remove the file using their Remove Outdated Content tool:

    https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/7041154?hl=en

    You will need to enter the URL from search results rather than the URL of the original file uploaded to WordPress.com.
