PDF Stats Over Time
-
I found out that statistics of PDFs that are clicked are recorded per this other forum post (https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/view-stats-from-my-own-visits-clicks-not-being-recorded?replies=5), and tested and see it under ‘Clicks’ as ‘WordPress.com Media’. However, unlike posts and pages, it is not something that can be tracked over time. As in, I can’t click on a little magnifying glass to tell me the stats aggregated since the beginning of time (in my blog’s world, that is). Is this something that can be done?

I do not think so but I could be wrong so I’ll tag this thread for a Staff response. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

Yes, I suspect not. But that’s definitely a feature that would be very useful since PDFs uploaded are generally things you want to be able to track over time like a post or a page.

I agree 100%. We can suggest new features here https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/ideas#postform

Hey Alex,
Right now this isn’t a feature that we currently have, but most definitely something worth looking at. I’ll do my best to pass this on during a planned discussion soon. Thanks!

Excellent! Yes, I think this is a worthwhile feature. Look forward to hearing what is ultimately decided.
Cheers,
