PDF update

  I have updated a PDF upload with a replacement – but it’s put it as a new page completely – am I able to have it as this URL: https://tryingagaininfodata.files.wordpress.com/2020/09/trying-again-podcast-factsheet.pdf

  But this version: https://tryingagaininfodata.files.wordpress.com/2020/09/trying-again-podcast-factsheet-2.pdf

  Also – if I want to update it again, how do I do that without it having a different URL?

  Hi there,

  It’s not possible to re-use filenames on WordPress.com. Even if the new file you upload has the same filename, the media library URL assigned to the file will be different, with a number appended, as you’ve seen.

  There is no way to override this, as this is how our file management system on WordPress.com is designed to work.
