pdfs cannot be loaded and opened

  On my free nzsocialjusticeblog2013 I used to be able to load pdfs as media documents, and they used to be able to be opened. I can still attach these to posts, but they can no longer be activated and opened. Why is this, please? I get no answers, and I am getting disappointed with WordPress, who may have disabled some formerly possible functions.
