Pemium plan domain cancelled during 2 weeks trial, using weebly instead

    Hi everybody, i sign up to wordpress for premium plan and only using it during the 2 weeks trial. before the trial ends, i cancelled the plan and decided to use weebly instead. I created my own domain name with wordpress and when its cancelled. i’d like to create the same domain name using weebly but its not available. any chance to solve this? thanks in advance

    Hi,
    The domain once purchased cannot be cancelled after 48 hours for a full refund. You can still cancel the domain, but you will be charged for the first year. After cancelling the domain, the domain will take a few weeks to be available for purchase again.That said, there is no guarantee that the domain will be available again (some domain names may have backorders).

    I checked your domain http://who.is/whois/http://www.wsignature.com, and looks like you have validity for the domain till may 2016. I would suggest, you keep the domain at WordPress.com and just point the domain to your Weebly site. You will be able to set this up by changing the Name servers. This way you will avoid all the hassle of cancelling, waiting for a few weeks and purchasing it again and setting up the site. You can also get a partial refund for the premium plan.

    Hi there,

    When you cancelled the WordPress.com Premium plan, that also cancelled your newly registered domain. When you cancel newly registered domains, it can take about a week for that domain to be released so it can be registered somewhere else. (There’s also no guarantee when you cancel a domain that you’ll be able to get it back, since you give up ownership of it when it’s cancelled.)

    I see you tried to repurchase the domain, but since it isn’t available yet that only added a domain mapping upgrade. I just cancelled and refunded that for you, since the domain isn’t available.

    I don’t currently see an active mapping upgrade on your account. It looks like Rachel removed and refunded the previous domain mapping. If you would like to use the wsignature.com domain, you’ll need to wait until it becomes available again for registration. You can monitor the domain availability here:
